Exploring my identity at a young age.

My journey begins in Mclean, VA, at St. Luke's Catholic School. Here, I developed my Catholic roots and grew intellectually. Throughout middle school, I was a mid-tier student, obtaining mostly B's and C's. As an avid hockey player my whole life, having played for the Reston Raiders AA travel team, I wanted to continue my career at Gonzaga College High School. My father, Eric Bovim, founded the Ice Hockey team at Gonzaga and created a legacy around the Bovim name, so following in his footsteps was my destiny. However, my grades weren't good enough to be competitive for admission, so I realized I needed to focus and build myself. With determination, I brought my grades up to A's and Bs and spent hours each day writing a personal application tailored to my interests. At 4 pm on February 14th, 2020, I got the notification: I was officially accepted into Gonzaga.
